Frazier Park, CA needs your help! At the top of the Grapevine, dogs & cats are dumped!

The Mountain Communities SPCA is helping the Frazier Park community by providing low cost spay & neuter to the low-income residents and the animals often dumped in the Los Padres National forest.  Did you know that some people actually believe that their pet is better off dropped off in the wild than going to a shelter? I think that says a lot about our shelter system, but it also says a lot about the misconception that companion animals, like dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. can exist in the wild.   The brutal reality is that these poor animals will die, either eaten by a coyote, mountain lion or bobcat or hit by a car, or starved to death, or frozen to death.  Sure, the forest is beautiful, but it is a severe climate with no resources for animals who grew up in a home.  Plus, these abandoned animals are often too scared to be caught and they will most certainly die without human intervention.
No, the forest is NOT the place to dump your unwanted pets!

In the 3 short years they have been in existence, the MCSPCA has provided services for 889 dogs and almost 1500 cats!  They work to find homes and fosters while also paying for veterinary care for the abandoned animals.  They don't discriminate, not only do they spay/neuter all the animals they rescue including feral cats, but they also assist those who can't afford to pay for S/N services.  The MCSPCA knows that Spay/Neuter Saves Lives!

Please donate to the MCSPCA so they can continue providing these essential services to the Frazier Park area (that has animal NO SERVICES provided by the county or  the state).

Thanks!
