Spayed female, tan and black German Shepherd Dog.
About 5 years old.
At the shelter since Jul 06, 2010.
Someone at the Pasadena Shelter asked for assistance on this sweet girl who really got a raw deal! This situation is URGENT!
This is what the email said:
We are desperately looking for a rescue (who uses fosters) to take in this sweet girl – she has one potential adopter looking at her at Pasadena Humane tomorrow. I have gotten to know her, yesterday I took her out to the park for 45 min. and she was great. She knows sit, down, stay, takes food and treats gently, walks well on a leash. We cat-tested her and she was very appropriate, non-reactive and just not that interested in the cat.
Space is so tight right now. She is an owner turn-in, they were going to take her to one of our training classes and then decided they didn’t want to do the work. She seems very sweet. The owner did say she guards the property (she is part shepherd) and they were worried she was going to attack some of their friends who just walked up the driveway one day so they decided to get rid of her based on that. As you know, that’s a bit of a death sentence for a dog.
She could be a great dog for someone who wants a good watch dog! She seems like a winner to me. Please contact the Pasadena Shelter about her right away!!!
